Products and permitted use

What are Peptas Products sold for?

Products identified as research materials are sold only for lawful laboratory research. They are not for human or veterinary use, consumption, administration, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, compounding, food, supplements, cosmetics, or household use.

Can you provide clinical preparation, in-vivo application, or therapeutic protocol advice?

No. Peptas does not provide clinical, preparation, application, compounding, treatment, or self-experimentation guidance. Laboratory preparation questions can be discussed only in the context of a lawful research protocol and documented Product specifications.

Who may request a quotation?

Customers must be at least 21 years old, have legal capacity and authority to bind their organisation, and act for a legitimate research, analytical, educational, industrial or other lawful professional purpose. PEPTAS may request identity, business registration, institutional, end-use, destination, licence, permit or consignee information before deciding whether to issue a written quotation, before work begins on an accepted quotation, and as part of post-supply compliance verification.

Are the Products approved medicines?

No. Products offered on this Site are research materials, not approved medicines. Research-use Products should not be treated as medicines, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, diagnostics, or veterinary products.

Quality and certificates

Are Products third-party tested?

Where a Product or batch is described as third-party tested, an analytical report should be available from a laboratory independent of the seller or manufacturer for that batch. Some documentation may instead come from a manufacturer or internal process, and it should be identified accurately.

What does 99% purity mean?

When stated, it ordinarily refers to the chromatographic result and method shown on the applicable certificate. It does not mean absolute mass purity, sterility, endotoxin-free status, pharmaceutical grade, biological potency, or fitness for administration.

Can I request a certificate of analysis?

Yes. State the analytical documentation you need in your request for quotation: the form lists the common documents and has a documentation-enquiry mode for questions about a material you have not yet requested. The written quotation identifies the analytical documentation confirmed for that material and batch; no document forms part of an order unless the accepted quotation identifies it. For documentation on a completed supply, email cs@peptas.com with the quotation or order reference and the lot number.

Why is the lyophilized material difficult to see?

Small quantities can form a thin film or cake and may adhere to the vial wall or stopper. Appearance alone cannot establish quantity. Do not open or manipulate a Product to investigate a claim before contacting us, because doing so can compromise chain of custody.

Storage and handling

How should Products be stored?

Follow the label, certificate, and Product-specific instructions. For some unopened lyophilized research materials, approximately -20 degrees Celsius may be recommended for longer-term storage, protected from moisture and repeated temperature changes. This is not universal. Qualified laboratory personnel must determine protocol-specific conditions.

Does a warm parcel mean the Product is defective?

Not necessarily. Some lyophilized materials tolerate ordinary transit, while others need controlled conditions. The accepted shipping specification and available stability information control. Report unusual delay, damaged packaging, or a triggered temperature indicator promptly.

Can Products be handled at home?

No. Research materials should be handled in a suitable professional laboratory with trained personnel, access controls, personal protective equipment, containment, spill response, and lawful disposal procedures.

Orders and payment

Which payment methods are available?

The written quotation states the price and currency, taxes and payment terms before you accept it. Payment is made against the invoice issued after written acceptance of the quotation; the invoice identifies the payment method available for that order and implements the accepted payment terms without adding new ones. Any payment link is issued by PEPTAS against the invoice; the website itself does not take payment. Work and timing run from cleared payment, completed verification and any required documentation.

When does a binding order form?

A request submitted through the Site, and the automated acknowledgement that confirms its receipt, are not an order, a quotation or an acceptance. After reviewing a complete request, PEPTAS may issue a written quotation, request further information or decline the request. The written quotation is the offer to supply. A binding order forms only when an authorised representative of the purchaser sends an unqualified written acceptance, quoting the quotation reference, before the validity deadline stated in the quotation. A purchase order with differing terms is a counter-offer unless PEPTAS accepts the difference in writing. Work begins only after the acceptance, the required checks and the payment conditions stated in the quotation are complete. See sections 4 and 5 of the Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Can I cancel an order?

Before you accept a quotation in writing, no contract exists and you may simply let the quotation lapse. Once an order is formed by written acceptance, the cancellation rights and return position stated in that quotation apply. Every material is made to order or allocated to the accepted specification, so a request to change or cancel an accepted order needs PEPTAS’s written agreement and may be declined where work has started, material has been allocated, documentation or a shipping label has been prepared, or compliance review would be affected. There is no convenience cancellation or return for material made or allocated to the accepted specification, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

How do I request a quotation, including for bulk or recurring supply?

No price, delivery period or stock level is published on this Site. Every material is made to order or sourced to specification for qualified institutional, professional and laboratory customers, and is supplied under an individual written quotation. Send a request for quotation from your organisation’s email address stating the material or sequence, the quantity (per call-off and expected total for recurring supply), the specification, the destination, the intended lawful research use and the documentation required. After reviewing the complete request, PEPTAS may issue a written quotation for that requirement, request further information or decline the request.

Shipping and customs

Where do you ship, and what does delivery cost?

The written quotation states whether PEPTAS is prepared to supply to the named destination on the information reviewed, and sets out the delivery basis, timing and allocation of import responsibility for that requirement. Unless the quotation expressly states otherwise, the quoted price excludes shipping, insurance, customs duties, import taxes, bank charges, currency-conversion costs, brokerage, storage, inspection, permits and destination fees. You are responsible for charges assigned to the importer, consignee or buyer by applicable law or the relevant service provider; PEPTAS is responsible for taxes and charges that law places on it and does not allow it to transfer. The purchaser and consignee remain responsible for determining whether import is lawful.

When is the order schedule confirmed?

Submitting a request and receiving the automated acknowledgement do not reserve capacity, allocate material or establish a preparation, dispatch or delivery date. Where PEPTAS issues a written quotation after review, that quotation states the timing for the named material, quantity, specification and destination; a period stated in a quotation is an estimate unless the quotation expressly commits to a date. Nothing is reserved before your written acceptance, and timing runs from cleared payment, completed verification and any required documentation.

Who is responsible for customs clearance?

The customer or consignee is ordinarily the importer of record and must confirm admissibility, obtain permits, pay destination charges, and cooperate with customs. Peptas remains responsible for export and declaration duties placed on it by law. We do not mislabel or undervalue shipments.

What happens if customs detains or seizes a shipment?

Send us the official notice immediately. A customs event does not automatically create a refund or free reshipment. The outcome depends on the cause, permits, each party’s duties, insurance, recoverability, the sale terms, and mandatory law.

Damage, returns, and refunds

Can I return a Product?

Sales are generally final because storage, authenticity, and chain of custody cannot be verified after delivery. Do not return research material without written authorization. Mandatory rights for an incorrect, damaged, or materially nonconforming Product remain available.

What if my parcel is damaged or an item is missing?

Contact us within 48 hours after recorded delivery. Preserve the parcel, shipping label, internal packaging, seals, and Product. Send the order number and clear photographs. Do not use a compromised item.

What if analytical testing yields an unexpected outcome?

An experimental outcome alone does not establish nonconformity. Results depend on protocol, solvent, concentration, storage, controls, equipment, biological variation, and handling. A quality claim should identify an express batch specification and include scientifically appropriate evidence.

Privacy and support

Do I need to accept marketing to order?

No. Marketing consent is optional. Service messages about an order, security, safety, compliance, or a material policy change may still be sent when needed.

How do I make a privacy request?

Follow the formal request instructions in the Privacy Policy. Identify your relationship to Peptas and the specific access, correction, deletion, objection, or marketing request. Do not send unnecessary identity documents until a secure verification method is provided.

How do I contact Peptas?

Email cs@peptas.com. Include the order number for transaction questions and the Product and lot number for certificate or quality questions. Email is not monitored as an emergency service.
